A Lebanese restaurant on Nicolson Square, a few minutes from the university. Charcoal grill, mezze to share and plenty of vegan dishes.

All our meat is halal

Every lamb chop, kofta and chicken shish on the menu is halal. We have been open since August 2010, Edinburgh's first Lebanese restaurant.

From the charcoal grill

Lamb chops, kofta, chicken shish and the mixed grill all cook over charcoal. Start with a few mezze to share: hummus, moutabal, falafel, fattoush. Then pick something from the grill, or order a sharing platter for the table.

Vegan and vegetarian

A good part of the menu has no meat at all. Vegan dishes on the current menu: Hummus, Fattoush Salad, Moutabal Baba Ghanouj, Tabbouleh Salad, Falafel, Moussaka, Bamyeih Bezeit, Foul Moudamas, Vine Leaves, Moussaka Stew, Okra Stew, Sticky Toffee Pudding.

What about drinks?

We serve wine, beer, spirits and cocktails, and you can bring your own wine with a corkage charge. If you don't drink alcohol there are smoothies, soft drinks, Lebanese coffee with cardamom and fresh mint tea. For drinks, ask your waiter which ones are halal.

Near the university

We are on Nicolson Square, a few minutes' walk from the University of Edinburgh's central campus and the Festival Theatre. Handy before a show, or for a long dinner after lectures.
